Pretoria Roadgas launches the UK’s first pay-per-mile Bio-Truck

Pretoria Roadgas, the UK’s leading producer of Bio-Liquified Natural Gas (Bio-LNG) announces a unique decarbonisation offering to the UK haulage industry.

Complimenting its rapidly expanding network of refuelling stations, Bio-Truck is a Capex-free package for single HGV operators and national fleets alike.

And here’s the unique bit; operators are provided with the class-leading Volvo Aero Bio-LNG trucks, complete maintenance and their renewable fuel supply, all wrapped into a simple, predictable, pence-per-mile model.

The market adoption of LNG is increasing by 15-17% year-on-year as operators strive to meet their ESG commitments, delivering a genuine long-term carbon impact. Bio-LNG delivers over 80% CO2 reduction helping fleets to make both measurable and sustainable progress.

Beyond the environmental impact, Bio-LNG provides a 10-25% fuel saving compared with diesel at a time when operators are facing escalating fuel prices and tightening margins.

Bio-Truck offers proven traction from Volvo’s FH460 Aero Bio-LNG. A high-efficiency gas powered driveline delivering exceptional long-haul performance. The 460hp engine delivers up to 2500Nm of torque, matching diesel capability across a range of demanding operations. With the right LNG tank configuration, operators can achieve up to 1000km range, giving high productivity across UK trunking routes.

With the Pretoria Roadgas support framework, Bio-Truck operators have complete assurance in the reliability, performance and long-term durability of their Bio-LNG fleet. Included in the package is servicing by Volvo’s authorised network to the manufacturers Gold standard, using genuine OEM parts and advanced diagnostic tools, ensuring maximum uptime and uncompromising safety and reliability.

Bio-Truck fully inclusive fixed-term packages are now available from Pretoria Roadgas for 5, 6, or 7 years giving operators the flexibility to choose a contract that best serves their operational strategy and fleet renewal cycle.
